    Nestled in a eucalyptus grove overlooking the Bay, Coyote Point Museum, the United States' first museum for environmental studies, is perfectly situated for its mission to educate the public about the native animals and ecology of the area.

    Among the most popular exhibits: a fire truck for climbing all over (some youngsters wear scaled-down firefighter's coats), face painting, various types of bubble blowing, designing ad-hoc art in the "Doodad Dump," and making and eating blue-corn tortillas. The intended age range is toddler to about 10, but kids of all ages can't resist getting involved.
